It’s a simple fact that many of the sales you pitch won&#8217;t close. You can, however, increase the number of sales you do close by following a few guidelines.</p><p>First of all, you need to establish a rapport with the customer. It&#8217;s important that he or she feels comfortable with you because he or she is the key to your sale. Would you buy something from someone you weren&#8217;t comfortable around?</p><p>While establishing a rapport with your customer is important, keeping control of the conversation is important too. When you&#8217;re making the customer comfortable, it&#8217;s easy for the customer to steer off topic and start talking about his or her personal life. Remember, people love to talk about themselves, especially with an objective person like yourself.</p><p>You should also always ask questions so that you’ll know what you need to cover before it’s time to close. Let the customer know that you care about their situation and that you&#8217;re just there to give them a product that they need. If you ask the right questions, you can elicit just the response that might convince your customer that they need to buy your product today.</p><p>You also need to be prepared to overcome objections. People are going to say no and they&#8217;re going to try to find any reason they can to not spend money. Sometimes they don&#8217;t even realize that your product could help them in a major way. If you can learn to overcome objections such as, &#8220;Can we talk about this at a later date,&#8221; or &#8220;I just don&#8217;t have the extra money right now to buy this,&#8221; you&#8217;re one step closer to closing the sale and one step closer to making money.</p><p>The most important part of the closing process is you making sure that you&#8217;re presenting your product as if it&#8217;s the best product on the market. Let your customer know how valuable the product has been to you, and how much you love it. What can you do to help a new recruit get started in the world of MLM?</p><p>First of all, they need to understand the job they&#8217;re doing. They are selling a product, while recruiting other people to sell the same product so that one day they can reap commission off of that person&#8217;s sales as well as their own sales. It&#8217;s a fairly easy concept, but there are a lot of materials that go along with the job. There&#8217;s the product itself, and there are brochures and DVDs that go along with that product. There are also brochures to help new distributors get started. Go through all of these materials with your new distributor. Make sure that he or she is comfortable with the materials and with the job description. You&#8217;d hate for your new distributor to have to call you in the middle of a sales pitch.</p><p>Speaking of a sales pitch, does your new distributor have one? Does he or she have any idea what she&#8217;s going to say when presenting the product? Review the product thoroughly with your new distributor. Have him or her try out the product, and then study the product until he or she knows it like the back of the hand. It&#8217;s incredibly important for the new distributor to be able to answer any questions a potential new client might have during a sales pitch.</p><p>Letting a new distributor go on a sale with you might also be very helpful. You&#8217;ve been working this job for several months, so you know exactly how the business works. If a new distributor goes with you during a sale, he or she can see how you approach the sale, how you control the conversation, and most importantly, how you close it. There is nothing like learning first hand!</p><p>There are so many tips you can give a new distributor before they step into the world of selling. Remind them not to try to sell to everyone because not everyone will want to buy the product. However, when you talk to someone about your business, the conversation somehow always ends up back on them, even when you&#8217;re trying to sell your product. Sooner or later, you&#8217;re going to have to learn that controlling the conversation is one of the many keys to running a successful business. Any conversation you have about your business should be completely run by you, just like you run your business.</p><p>First of all, controlling the conversation is important because people love to talk about themselves. Not only do people love to talk about themselves, they love to talk about their husbands or wives, their kids, their pets, their job, and everything else related to them. Even if your prospect isn&#8217;t a selfish person, the conversation may stray from his need for your product, to how he has to go to his child&#8217;s soccer game in the evening. You have to make sure you keep the conversation about his need for your product. Otherwise, people will talk about themselves until they don&#8217;t want to talk anymore, and you may not have even gotten a word in about your product. Additionally, controlling the conversation saves time you could be spending with other clients.</p><p>Second of all, controlling the conversation is important because your prospect may not know the best questions to ask you. Some people just aren&#8217;t very intuitive, and don&#8217;t like to ask questions. You might ask your prospect about her needs, she&#8217;ll explain them, and then when you ask her if she has any questions, she&#8217;ll say no. That is why you need to learn to anticipate questions. Think about what kind of things the prospect should have asked you and then you can just start explaining away.</p><p>Lastly, controlling the conversation is important because your main goal is to get your product out there. That’s the best way to get your business idea out there!</p><p>Another way to find people who are willing to learn is to approach people with the mindset that they need to listen to you. When you&#8217;re speaking to a new prospect for first time, speak to them as if you know that they won&#8217;t be able to survive without this business opportunity. This will show that you have complete confidence in what you&#8217;re trying to accomplish and that you want them to learn all they can about it. This might even inspire prospects who didn&#8217;t seem so inspired before you started talking.</p><p>Finding people who want to learn won&#8217;t be easy, but it&#8217;s not impossible. If you approach your prospect by letting them know that you can help them, they&#8217;ll be more than willing to learn. For example, you&#8217;re discussing an MLM opportunity with a friend of yours who has a low-paying job that he or she doesn&#8217;t enjoy. When you&#8217;re talking to your friend, start the conversation with a mention about how much the person hates his or her job. They&#8217;ll be reminded of how much they dislike what they&#8217;re doing and they&#8217;ll also be reminded that there are other opportunities out there.</p><p>One of the best ways to find people who are willing to learn is to advertise. There are some great ways to tell whether or not an MLM company is right for you.</p><p>First of all, you should be selling something that you are at least interested in. It is hard to have faith in a product that you don&#8217;t understand. If you don&#8217;t have faith in it, that makes it infinitely harder to sell to other people. If you&#8217;re not passionate about perfume for dogs, it would probably be pretty hard to convince other people to buy it. If you&#8217;re not passionate about a new type of makeup that&#8217;s on the market, it&#8217;s going to be hard to get other people to buy into your product. When you choose an MLM company, choose one that specializes in something you love.</p><p>Before you pick the MLM opportunity that you want to take advantage of, research them completely. If they have been around for a long time then they may be a good company to work for. You don’t want to waste money by working with a company who isn’t going to be around next month.</p><p>Now that you’ve picked a company, make sure that their products are worth paying for. If something was poorly made, you wouldn&#8217;t want to buy it. Why would you want to sell something bad or poorly made to other people? If you know the product is defective, it&#8217;s going to be hard to sell it. In addition to that, if you sell someone a faulty product and it breaks after they pay for it, you&#8217;re going to have that on your conscience. Do you really need that?</p><p>Another great way to evaluate an MLM company is by trying their products. You won&#8217;t know if that company&#8217;s makeup makes your skin glow unless you try it. You won&#8217;t know if that other company&#8217;s dog perfume works until you actually spray it on your dog. If you try a product and you know everything there is to know about it, your prospects will not only be impressed, but they will be able to tell that you&#8217;re knowledgeable about the product. The first person is paid from what they sell and also for the sales that the person they recruited makes. Without proper research, it&#8217;s really easy to become misinformed about what exactly networking marketing is. There are several myths in circulation about it and about the network marketers who make it possible.</p><p>First of all, network marketing is not a get-rich-quick gig. It&#8217;s actually ideal for someone who is patient and can wait a little while to start making the money they want to make. Sure, there is money to be made in network marketing but it won&#8217;t get you rich quick. Just like with any other profession, it takes time and patience.</p><p>Another common myth is that network marketing is some type of scheme. People will often say that network marketing is a Pyramid Scheme, even though a Pyramid Scheme is illegal and network marketing is not. The true definition of a Pyramid Scheme is where an investor pays someone a lot of money for nothing, then the investor waits to reap the benefits of what he or she paid out.</p><p>However, the only people actually making money in a Pyramid Scheme are the tiny number of people at the top of the pyramid. They might even give you a referral and that can make that next cold call a little less chilly!</p><p>Lastly, if you want to really kick this fear of cold calling, just think of those phone calls as a necessity. As hard as it is sometimes to maintain a positive mindset when things aren&#8217;t going well, it has to be done. Negative thinking can and will destroy your network marketing business.</p><p>The first way this can happen is when you are cold calling. It can even happen when you&#8217;re calling someone you know. People are going to say no. People are also going to hang up on you. People are going to ask you if you are trying to scam them. Most people are just innately skeptical of anything that might seem like an easy way of making money. Rejection makes it hard to make the next call, but if you maintain a positive mindset, you&#8217;ll overcome that quickly. Remember, it is just a phone call. Move on to the next one with a smile.</p><p>Negative thinking can also destroy your business if you let people get inside of your head. It doesn&#8217;t always take a mean or sarcastic comment to upset a person. Sometimes a simple no or someone hanging up on a person can make that person very doubtful. It&#8217;s easy to take one no and think that maybe you just aren&#8217;t good at network marketing and that you should just quit. However, the most important person you must have faith in is yourself. If you don&#8217;t believe in yourself no one else will. Don&#8217;t you want your business to succeed?</p><p>Negative thinking destroys your business because it also affects your business. If you&#8217;re not thinking positively, you&#8217;re probably not going to be in the best mood. No one wants to do business with someone who is angry and negative. People who are investing their time and energy in you need to know that you have faith in yourself and faith in your business.</p><p>Now that you&#8217;re ready to be a positive thinker, there are things you can do to maintain that great attitude. Start by setting realistic but challenging goals. It&#8217;ll feel good to challenge yourself and it&#8217;ll feel even better when you succeed.</p><p>Realizing that you can’t please everyone is another great way to stay positive when network marketing. Not everyone is going to like your product and not everyone is going to like you.
